From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
I've determined that the cause of my no cruise, no horn, and SRS light situation is my failed cable reel. I bought my 98 GSR with a clicking steering wheel and it had no horn...no cruise...and had the SRS light on.
Anyway...I need to install a cable reel. I see threads explaining thru words on how to install it...kinda. But does anyone have pictures or more detailed instructions on how to center the reel?
I plan on going to the junk yard and buying a reel. What do I have to do to protect it from spinning and destroying itself on the drive home? How do I keep it centered? How do I know that it is centered? Since it's a spring, does it have tension to center itself?
Thanks for any help. Again, the car is a 98 GSR. 4dr, if it matters...
