the clicking only happens when the car is in motion.. the faster i go..the faster the clicks get..my steering wheel also get shaky when im going about 65 mph. i checked my tire to see if off balanced or anything but they seems to be ok. the clicking sounds like someone is tapping metal to metal..somewhere..any ideas? thanks!
I had a similar tapping noise in my car. It drove me nuts for a week until I finally figured out where it was coming from. The metal handle thing on the arm rest of the passenger side door wasn't screwed down properly. That bloody noise still rings in my head from time to time. That could be the problem. I'm not sure because you didn't say where the noise is coming from. Hope that's what it is.

i think i'm having the same problem...but instead, i hear tapping/clicking sound from underneath the car everytime i go over a speed bump or make a right turn. Oh well..gonna bring it back to Acura dealership for service....
if it is the c.v. axles, the clicking noise would be there only when you take turns. So i don't think that's it. Also, most cases, the boot must be torn or busted so the grease can escape from the bearings. therefore causing a clicking noise. as far as the shaking, i would say get your wheel balanced, and check your alignment. Most likely the wheel balance though IMO. And the clicking noise..hmmmm... can you more specific to help us out?
no leaves..no stones..cv boots look just fine..evertything is tight..could it be my axles going bad?
Is your spark plug facing the right way?
I'm just being a goof, here's hoping it's not serious. I have that noise coming from my door handle.

my cv boot busted a while back and i got hem fixed. i double checked my lugs and everything including the brakes. everything looks fine and there is no play. when i let go of the steering wheel the car still goes straight so i dont think its the alignment. when i go faster the clicking goes faster and when i slow down..it goes slower..how do i check if the wheels are balanced?
take the wheels off, and then take them to a tire shop. you need the wheel balancer machine to test and see how they are. But that wouldn't cause the clicking noise. Hey, do you have center caps for your wheels? check and make sure they are secured and tight. If the caps are loose, this will cause a clicking noise. Just a suggestion. Keep us in touch
I had a mystery clicking sound like the one you describe not to long ago.
It was being caused bya loose rattle clip in the caliper. Another clip fell out, and now my brakes rattle everytime I hit a bump. Been trying to get some rattle clips from local acura dealer, but they never have them,
The clip is just a small piece of folded metal. check and see if it is coming loose. you can compare with your other tires. It is right by the brake pad.

ill triple check the brakes tomorrow. i took my tires off to see whats going on with the balancing and the shop said that it was ok. they didnt know what the clicking sound was either. gosh..how would i know if its the axle? maybe there is not enough grease in the cv boot? it only happens when im driving..i noticed that if i give the car some gas..the noise would go away...and if i was to coast down a hill...i can hear it. any other thoughts?
hey, cv axles maybe like others have said, but i think it may be the bearings too. one or both of those can be the problem. explaing more about that clicking noise, is it like the "click" a snapple bottle cap makes or something different like a metal ball with a heavy load trying to roll on a rough surface???
