The Car: 1996 Integra GSR 5 speed DB8 4dr
Well last night on my way home from work my check engine light came on as I was going thru the gears. Car ran just fine after the light came on, so I just parked the car when I got home and disconnected the battery for the night. So this morning I connected the battery and started the car, and no light came back on. I thought maybe the timing was off so I jumped the test port got out my tools and gun and checked it. It was slightly off. The timing mark on the cover was a little left of the red mark on the pulley. So I loosened up the distributor and got it all lined up on the red mark. So now when I drove the car into work I went thru the gears and hit the V-tech a few times and noticed right away and strange ever so slight rattle coming from the engine, but only when the Vtech is engaged. I did this a few times and it just does not seem to feel right and on the last pull the check engine light came back on. Car drives just fine if I cruise it, it doesn’t get hot, smell or smoke at all. As long as I stay out of the Vtech, I hear no noise at all, even with the car parked I can Rev the engine way up and no noise, sounds just fine. I just hooked up my Actron OBDII code reader and it gave me one fault code. (P1259 Manufacturer Control Fuel Air Metering) I also jumped the service port and I got 2 long flashed and 2 short, Code 22.
Anybody have any ideas? Has this happened to anybody else? My only mod’s are intake, header, cat back exhaust.

Thanks for all the input guy's.
I figured it out. So simple, It was just low on oil, and was not engaging the Vtec properly.
