Check engine Light HELP
um just to let u know, the maintenace required light is totally different from the check engine light.
maintenance required light is scheduled to come on at certain milegae, just so u take ur car into honda to spend money!! just reset the light, there is a button below the steering wheel u can feel it with ur hand, i believe it is to the right of the wheel and down. check another post for details on that
check engine light lets u know something is wrong, impossible to tell without checking the codes. could be anything

KGsITR: I know its crazy to know that a car manufacturer can do that. I Didn't know that there is also a "check engine" light b/c its never came on.
I knew about the switch below the steering column, just wanted to see what all the "maintence required" light went too
tngay: thanks for the miles on when the light comes on.

ya...you can reset the light underneath your dash...turn the car into run with the key..but dont start...then hold the button and it will reset...i believe that is the sequence, if not ....just fool around with it
