Default cheap integra??

My friend found an integra for sale, its a 2000 gs-r, with a 97 type r engine in it/ He says the motor only has 30k miels on it, andt he car has 60k. he claims no accidents and its in perfect condition. its got rims (ugly ones) and intake header exhaust. he is asking 8700. isnt that a little cheap? if everyhting he says is legitimate? what are your thoughts, thanks

That's a little too cheap. Just make sure to check it out to see if everything is legit. If it is, that's a hella of a deal!

There's something wrong there... wether it's a salvage title, stolen motor, stolen car... something. A 2000 GS-R would go for more than that usually, so a 2000 GS-R with a B18C5 should be even more... Be careful.

Either its beat to **** or 80% stolen parts. Don't buy it because when you get caught they will take it from you and you'll be screwed out of the $$. Definatly check the vins on the car, motor, trans to make sure its legitimate. If all checks OK then that is an insane deal dude. Bring it to a mechanic that knows what he's doing to check things out on the motor.

i spent 16.5 minus tax and registration on my 2000 GSR from a acura dealership and that seems aqbout right since it has a different engine and addons. Remember once you start doing mods to your car the value goes down. I imagine an engine transplant would really drop the value but im not sure. Hows the paint etc? Did you do a carfax on it?

An engine transplant, upgrade in this case, doesn't have to make the value go down. This car is putting down 25 more hp and more torque than any other GS-R out there. It wouldnt have to make the price go down unless you're selling it to a dealer, but it probably wouldn't make it go up much if at all.

Sounds a wee bit fishy. Go check it out, look for everything that he says and double check it all. But if its true thats one damn good deal...About the engine transplant...i would figure that it might drop the price down only if it were sold to dealer IMO. Like 94teal said check out carfax.
