if you're replacing it with a stock one.. its not too bad.

You have to take off yr trailing arm... use an axle end and press it out.. and press the new one back on. Sounds easy.. but its not THAT easy.. but not that hard also.

i've heard energy = bad idea. not sure. something about perfect fitment. Mugen sells a full press-in bushing, not just a replacement for the rubber part. i think prothane or energy or something sells a similar full unit for like $120 in plolyurethane.

After much research, I just picked up some RTA bushings from Honda. I called Acura for the bushings and they played dumb; I had to buy the whole RTA... BS the honda guys gave me the right part at a fraction of the cost. 312 compared to 64....hmmm. I really hate the Acura dealer near me. they blow.

But the reason for the stock bushings is because the energy suspension or prothane tend to bind in the arm movement.

oh, the tech at honda said to burn out the old bushings. Grease the new bushings, heat up the arm and press in the new bushings. sounds easy...most likey not though. good luck!

no. Remove the TA assembly. SPray some PB Blaster around the bushing. With the outside of the TA facing down, press out the old bushing, sleeve and all. Clean the mating surface on the TA, flip the TA over so the outside is facing up, and then pres in the new one. I have NEVER had to use more than 1500 lbs of pressure to remove or install bushings. I've done 88 Civic Wagons to 99 GSR's.

Also, what I did for my own, was rotate the bushing in the TA to compensate for being lowered. Now, staticly, the bushing is centered at my lowered ride height!

a MUST to do on all 88+ Civics/ 90+ Tegs

20 each where?

I paid 40 each employee cost. Dealer cost is like 35 a piece.

OEM-style-Replacements can be had for 20 bucks.
I got my bushings for 100 shipped. Not a great deal, but 20 cheaper than what the dealers wanted.

ah, OEM "style"

The OEM ones are updated and are the EXACT same as Mugen ones. I've compared both in person....same thing

I got mine while my suspension was being put on at King Motorsports. They got it from the local Acura dealership. Plus, I'm friends with some of the former employees there

Where is a good place to get the 90-93 RTA bushings?
Anyone here running the energy suspension ones?
