a Type r manifold wont fit a gsr but a skunk2 mani is just like it and made for gsr. you dont need a different ecu but on a stock or lightly modified one you will probably lose power without proper tuning

X2 OEM ITR will not fit, GSR . But Blox, and Skunk2 make replicas that fit the GSR, I would chip the ECU, if the have a check engine light is a problem to you. Also, depending on what manifold you run, it might not pass Smog visual. Chip, and delete 2nd butterflies.

if you have the money do header and I/M, with the hondata or password JDM gasket.. and get it tuned, get a little extra power from it. but getting cams would really use those parts more efficiently

If the ITR intake manifold doesn't fit, how come I bought my GSR with an intake manifold that has "p73" on it?

Are you sure you have a GSR head? What is the casting on the head say?

i'm kind of in the same boat, i am swapping my gsr head with a usdm type r head with type r intake manifold.... will my stock gsr throttle body work with this or do i need a different one? also, some type of engine management/tuning would be necessary you think?
