I want to remove the center console to install my short shifter. I can get off the back piece but i cant of the front piece (by the cd player). I know there are bolts on the sides and two down by the e-brake. but are there any other hidden bolts? It wont seem to come out. thanks

 

pull out the ash tray and you'll see two more, then once you pull out the whole ash tray assembly there will be two more.

This is focused on removing the radio, but you have to remove the console first.

 

I never had to remove the center console to install my short shifter. All I had to do was unscrew the shift ****, and the rest of the work was down below.

It'll save you quite a bit of time not having to fiddle with the center console.

 

yeah, no need to pull out centercouncel to put in short shifter...just take off your shift ****, and all the work is on the bottom of the car!
