CEL code? i dont understand

Default CEL code? i dont understand

hey guys, sorry to ask a dumb question, i searched everywhere for CEL CODES. i found that alot of people are having problems with them. my friend said he had a little light that said what his was. well where can i find mine? i drive a 94 ls sedan. how do i find out if my car is throwing a cell.

im stuck in a bind my car is running poorly due to blown rings and i want to make sure everything else is ok. thanks guys

if its throwing a CEL, the CEL light turns on. When it turn on that when you know something is wrong and you need to check it. If the CEL isn't on, you are probably okay.

i kinda had this question too...i heard that there is some blinking light somewhere you can check to know what the code is...i have a 99GSR

my CEL is on and i would really love to know what it is ASAP...

ok, thanks for the reply but i still dont quite understand.

WHERE the heck is the CEL light. lol i think that is my biggest worry that it might be coming on, because i know my friends is on his ecu in his crx, but.... i dont have a light on my ecu. besides its behind the kick panel.. thanks guys on me for not knowing these things

your CEL is on your instrument panel....by where your blinkers, no seat belt on, low fuel, lights are.

you pull the code....one long blink = 10, short blinks equal one's.

so if you get two long blinks and three short blinks, it's a code 23...

Engine
Light

on 90-91 ls model the LED is incorporated in the ecu
on the rest of the cars you have to trip the ecu in order to get the
codes
codes= series of blinks on the check engine light

Oh, and they make a little plug that sticks into the clip so you don't have to use a paper clip.
