Car is having weird starting problems?
Alright well once in a while when i go to turn on the car it wont start im really confused ive checked the battery and its good i doubt its the starter because Most of the time it starts right up.
what's your guys input?
car does have an alarm pretty sure it has a killswitch (theres a red swith under the dash)-im not sure if its wired to the alarm a few times when it didnt wanna start i would push the button and nothing
maybe the car isnt reading the gearbox is in neutral so it won't start?
when this happens i usually push in ther clutch a few time and keep trying and nothing ill lock the car and unlock it a few times mess with the clutch even disconnect the positive to the battery and then i get frustrated and out of nowhere it will start right up then it starts
give me ideas or if u would know how to take out the kill part of the alarm let me know
only 16 i only really know the basics i dont know anything about wiring
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

everything gets power interior lights, stereo, headlights and fans turn on and when i turn the key there isnt even a click doesn't turn over
Try a bypass jump, use a jumper lead, [10ga min.] one end to the batt. pos.(+) and touch the other end to the starter solenoid input terminal, [the thinner starter lead is plugged into that terminal, unplug it to access the terminal].
BE CAREFULL, engine will crank even if car is in gear and ign. is turned off, make sure transmission is in neutral, hand brake is set.
If engine cranks every time you do a bypass jump the starter motor and solenoid are not the problem, you will need to check the starter relay, CIS, ign. switch and the wiring between them. 94

if it was a starter problem would it still be able to turn on?
because its only sometimes
its my dd and i take it to school everyday starts like butter in the morning today for example but after school it didn't wanna start i got frustrated chilled for a min in the car and then tried again and it started like nothing was wrong?
the problem is happening intermittently
as i said its my dd but sometimes it does this if it was my starter wouldnt i be screwed everytime i try to start it?
correct me if my theorys are false lol

look under your clutch pedal. theres a little pin that pushes down when you step on the clutch. press that in with your finger and try to start your car. i forgot what it was called but just follow that instruction to see if it works

A starter motor or starter solenoid can be intermittent, that is why you do a bypass jump, if it will not start with the key and it does with the bypass jump you can pretty much eliminate the starter and solenoid as the problem, the starter relay, CIS, [clutch interlock switch] and the ign. switch can also be intermittent.
Although you can test the CIS by holding the key to start, [when engine does not start] and stepping on and off the clutch and listening for the click of the starter relay, if you hear the relay click on and off, [even though engine does not crank] it tells you the CIS is good, but even though you hear the relay click, it does not mean the relay is good.
The problem with intermittent issues is you need to be testing the defective part when it is failing to find it, the bypass jump is just an easy way to eliminate a possible defective part and it is still not 100%.
A telltale is the best way to find an intermittent problem, in your case I would connect a test light, [12V light bulb] to the starter motor signal lead at the starter motor solenoid, run the test light inside the car so you can see it, it will light up each time you start the engine, if engine does not start, [crank] and light still turns on, the problem is the starter motor or solinoid, if light does not turn on, then the motor and solenoid are not the problem and you would move the light to the input to the starter relay and again if light still turns on when engine does not start it eliminates the ign. switch as the problem, move the light to the CIS input to the starter relay, again if the light still turns on when engine does not start, the CIS is not the problem, move the light to the output of the starter relay and wait for engine not to crank again to see if light turns on or not.
By elimination you will find the problem, again this is a lot easier if failure to crank was more consistent or all the time, but when it is intermittent you can't tell anything until it fails, if a test light, [telltale] is connected at all times, the intermittent problem will be easier, [faster] to find. 94
