i was wondering if the engine check light goes should i take it to the mechanic to see what he says cus my car was sitting for 2 weeks cus of my drain plug so i fixed it then i filled my car up with oil and took it out.as i was driving smoke came out so then i took it home and it stopped.i let it cool down and drove it again and my engine check light goes on as soon as i turn of the car it turns off but when i turn the car back on it turns on but not immediately.any1 know what may be wrong cus it seems normal to me and drives alright but dunno y the light is on.any suggestions? and thanks in advance

 

Pull the CEL codes. The FAQ thread at the top of the forum has an instruction link and the code list.

do the paper clip thing on the connector on the lower right of the glove box under the dash. then pull the code. im sure some1 has posted all the codes
