Default camber adjustment

ok i went to my local tire store to get some new tires cause my fronts are **** and im about to take a trip down to daytona this weekend. anyways since my rear tires are still just like new i only got front tires and an alignement. well i knew the camber was off but its not terrible. it says the recommended camber is 0 to -1.2 dsegrees. right now im at -2.1. so the guy tells me that i can get a camber kit for my car installed with out alignement for $315. i have no clue what parts he is using. but he told me the only way that he will adjust the camber is if i buy the parts and labor from him. other wise he wont touch my camber kit. so my question is should i just put on a skunk2 camber kit with my friend and adjust myself or buy all **** from him?

You can't really adjust it yourself as you need the toe adjusted too. Just install them yourself then tell the guy he can either adjust it or you will go somewhere else.

If he won't align your car at all, take it to a place that can align it. At -2.1 deg of camber, if doesn't seem like you'd be getting significant camber wear. What's more important is that you get your toe angles straightened out.

Go someplace else if he won't adjust a camber kit that you put on, that's retarded

But with -2.1 you can just get the toe aligned and not worry about a camber kit. Just remember to rotate your tires regularly so that the wear will stay even on all four corners (I assume you didn't rotate those front tires before).

Also remember to get a 4-wheel alignment. A front end alignment is really a misnomer on cars w/ independent rear suspension, because you have to set the rear alignment first and then align the front off the rear if you want it done correctly.
