Default calling all DA OWNERS!!!! speed sensor problem

i let some IDIOT, or what i call a friend which now has new friends replace my cluster with a current milage cluster thats accurate with my new motor. turns out that your supposed to pull out the clip with the speed sensor thingy on it. he just yanked out the cluster and i was wondering why my speed was not working.

now, i tried to put it all back...but its so hard...such tight space. i tried like putting on the clip with the wire first, then connecting it..but now it just comes off the wire with ease.

what to do?

Get another clip. There's no reason that it should fall off once you have it on correctly

if you broke the clip replace it like the others guys told you, the easiest way to do this is removing the clip that holds the cable on the tranny on the speed sensor that way you can pull the cable inside the car to give you enough room to attached the cable correctly.

Changing the mileage on the cluster is illegal. Have you considered replacing the entire cable?

here's a pic, you may have to buy the entire cable:
