Default CAI

Can some one tell me what the deal is with the one and two peace AEM CAI?

I had saw a one peace in a picture but figured it might be for some other model honda or acura or nither. But to day i saw a picture of a GS-R with a single peace CAI. Whats the deal? Did AEM switch to a new design of the CAI? And im not talking about the other model CAI style AEM has thats biger up to.

Umm hmm, I've never seen a 2 piece AEM cai. But I think the INJEN is a 2 piece cai. I'm kind of confused about your question do you have any pictures to detail what you are talking about? I've had a AEM cai in my car it was just one long piece. Pictured here

Are you referring to people who install the bypass on their CAI? In that case ... yes the CAI does become two pieces but orginally came as one.

Does that answer your question? Or did I miss it as well?

Well mines a 2 peace with no bypass valve. I intake was on the car when i got it though i would have baught it right away had it not been. Im in cali so it seems hard to believe they would put a bypass on in the first place here and then at that remove it later. And im like 99.9% sure its a real aem, its got its eo tags along with the AEM sticker. I can get pictures if you guys really really wanna see. But im pretty for surely sure its an AEM.

And whe nyou say it becomes a TWo peace, you mean you have to cut it and half right??

sounds like an ebay intake with aem stickers. anyone can stick some stickers on there and make it seem real. case in point, ebay "mugen" intakes:

Maybe it's not an Integra intake? I think some Civic intakes work for our cars aswell, maybe they have 2 piece Civic intakes?

Just an idea.
