A/C Problem in a 93 GSR
my car will start overheating if it is not moving (at least 35-40mph) when the a/c is on, like when I'm stuck in traffic and its 105 in the summer here....as soon as I turn off the a/c the temp will start to drop even if the fan is still on...I took to some stupid mechanics and they couldn't reproduce the over heating problem so they said they had no idea what it was.....thanks any help!!!

Im not sure about the thermostat, I bought the car last June and haven't replaced it, I haven't flushed the coolant lately either, do you think there is anything else it could by chance? thanks for the help, nice and cheap, I'll try both of those for sure, you recommend any certain thermostat, spoon, mugen, OEM, or coolant?
if you get the spoon or mugen thermostat you should get the matching switch also. i say just get an oem thermo or one that opens a little bit earlier. the only other thing i can think of is the radiator is going or the fins are clogged and that would cost more money, if you were gonna replace the radiator make sure the tanks are all metal or spend the bucks and get a aluminum fluidyne or pwr.
