That's right, it's been replaced by a 64mm collar/sleeve-mabob. The damn bypass broke in half. That might be due to the engine shifting around. It was also rubbing a flat spot in one of my A/C lines. Out it came!
Of course, I can't really say if performance has improved. The car (98 RS) feels revvier, but we all know how accurate the butt dyno is.
It is a whole shitload louder - my God, 5000 RPM to redline is just plain vicious.
So, I'm going to have to jump on the "no bypass" bandwagon. It's easy enough to make your OEM intake into a short ram for the rainy/snowy season if water ingestion is a big concern.

i got rid of my bypass too... i tried zipties, i was about to epoxy both sides of that **** together and i just decided to say **** it.. right now its short ram hah, but im just gonna throw a coupler in between. and re-CAI it.. i hate that thing
