Default Brake Rotors

Hi,

My brakes thump like hell whenever I stop. I had my rotors resurfaced once and the problem has resurfaced after 5,000 miles.

I would like to replace all rotors with aftermaket rotors. Does anyone have some suggestions as to what a good rotor/pad combination would be for me?

This is just for general driving no Auto-X.

thanks!

Get Brembo OE's from http://www.collettimotorsports.com/ and and Axxis ultimate pads from Andie @ http://www.carbotecheng.com/main.htm

Make sure you read about how to "bed in" the pads on the CarboTech website., as this procedure can save you 90+% of all brake warpage problems you will have.

Another thing I'd like to add.
Use torque wrench when tighten those lug nuts.
Unevenly tighened lug nuts can lead to rotor warpage also.

Esp. when you get tires mounted.

Trained monkeys often have more sense than the guys mounting the tires.

Just for the heck of it, I used my torque wrench and set it up in the high so not to damage it, then removed my lug nuts after getting new tires. Most were tightened to ~130-140 lbs-ft, judging by the break-over on the wrench. They were supposed to use a torque wrench, but they just put'em on w/ the impact wrench.
