Brake Upgrade
Currently using the oem brake pads and rotors with valvoline synpower dot 4 brake fluid.
I am thinking of upgrading to Hawk HP+ pads on all 4 corners.
However, something else came up and I could upgrade to 11.1" rotors in the front with ITR calipers, however this setup will cost the most.
What do you guys advise?
Will upgrading to Hawk HP+ on the oem brake rotor/caliper provide good braking?
keep in mind, I auto-x and if I upgrade to the 11.1" rotor, it will bump me up a higher class.

hey, what i did for my brake upgrade is powerslot rotors all the way around with AEM/NISSIN pads, i then swapped out the AEM pads for some Hawks, its a pretty darn good for an almost stock setup, also, depending on the year of your car, you might want to replace the calipers - i did and it made a WORLD of difference.
I don't need rotor and my current oem calipers have less than 40,000 miles.

you don't need the big brake kit. Go with the hp+'s. I had the same setup. Stock calipers, stock rotors, hp+, and synpower dot3/4 fluid. I never had a problem with not being able to stop. No problems whatsoever with fading. I beat the living crap out of them for a long time doing lapping days, auto-xing, and mountain/canyon runs. I highly recommend this setup

the only reason to get bigger brakes is for the additional heat dissapation, but it's not really needed, IMO. Like I said, even after pounding the pads at the lapping days, at the end of the day, there was zero fade, which is why I'm not recommending the larger rotors. They're just not necessary.

the dot4 has a higher boiling point than dot3, so the braking system can take more heat before fading, due to bubbles forming in the brake lines, occurs.
