Default Bra?

anyone use a bra for their integra. Im thinking of buying one. I ride highway everday, and noticing all these rock chips. If anyone has pics of a bra with an itr lip that would be sick. what are the disadvantages of a bra? I know dirt gets trapped, i wouldnt leave it on for hella long, regular clean ups?

Go for the bra or suckit up and let the rocks chip

if you use a bra, all the little rocks and pebbles bounces up to your windshield and chips the windshield instead.

Wouldn't they bounce up there anyway?? + I dont know about in the US but here in NZ insurance replaces windscreens for absolutely nothing.

Not sure what they look like but if they dont look to bad then yeah go for it

Note that a bra for a 1997 Type R is different than one for the 98+ ones.

They may be ugly, but when you drive on the highway a lot they become a wise investment. I have so many chips on my front bumper and hood now.

how are you going to get clear leather? your probably talking about "chip guard" that is a thin plastic that adheres to your PAINT. and when you go to take it off and reapply another sheet, good chance of clear coat and/or paint coming with it.

it's completely safe if applied properly and removed properly... my dad has been doing this stuff for years now.

I think bras are a bad idea just because if you get water under them they rust your hood like there is no tomorrow.

if you keep it on... i know plenty of folks to use the bras for only long trips.

e.g. a few years back i drove the teg to chicago... popped on the bra... once i got back, took it off and gave it a good cleaning.. besides, the front bumper is plastic anyways... as long as you're cleaning the hood and fenders you're fine.

I bought the factory 98+ ITR mask to go on my car after it was painted, because I commute 100 miles every day.

Usually I will wash my car on the weekend, throw the mask on Sunday evening, ride with it on during the week, then pull it off before the next weekend. I always wash the mask and let it air dry before putting it on again, and I never put it on if the front end is dirty.

Unfortunately you shouldn't use it when it's raining, and last winter around here I pretty much just couldn't use it for several months, which means my front end now looks horrible.

But for roadtrips and stuff it would be good to use.

This is my car when I drove to Nashville last year for the H-T meet:

wouldent wearing those bra cause uneven fading if not properly taken care of? so you could either get chips or have a mean color diffrence on your bummer. My car had diffrent colors under the spolier when i took it off so im assuming it would also do the same
