Default boosted ls

how many lbs of boost can a stock ls motor handle. also how much boost could a ls motor that has aftermarket rods, pistons, and resleeved block handle? how many lbs do most boosted ls run and what are your numbers? a rough estimate is good enough, thanks

it'll hold 10 psi stock. but not for long. your stock pistons will be fine for awhile too. They're at a friendly 9.2:1 CR. I'm not 100% sure, and I'm sure everyone's info differs on this, but the stock sleeves and rods as well as the bearings, will probably weakend dramatically at around 300whp. You could probably very easily get away with putting a turbo kit on and leaving everything stock for awhile. But, plan on spending some cash in the future to sturdy up that motor. even a block guard, new bearings and seals will buy you some time. But if it's daily driven, a built inside would be best.
