Black box under dash
I was cleaning my car and found this little black box under the dashboard. If you sit in the drivers seat, take your right hand and reach under dash, the box has a green harness on it and has a light blue button. What is this thing? It was disconnected when I found it...
It's a tracking device; the insurance companies use them to tell if people are speeding. It's why Integras have such high premiums; the insurance companies can tell with these devices that Integras speed more than most other car types. The police are trying to get a law passed so they can use them to automatically mail tickets to people who speed.
Actually, it's the maintenance reminder unit. It tells you to change your oil at 7500 miles. The most useless part in the whole car, IMHO.
