my battery light is still on i just installed a new remand alternator about 400 miles ago, i drive a 1991 acura integra ls i need some trouble shooting here. Any place i should look, the belt was squealing but it was new and on the right track, could i have installed a bolt incorrectly? please help!
Go to an auto parts store and have them check your battery and alternator. The will check the voltage with the car off, the car running, and the car running with an electrical load (headlights, blower motor, defroster, etc. on).

my car is stripped!!! i have no radio the only thing that drams power is the motor, a a/fr gauge, and accesories like the lights and stuff. where would the engine ground be located i see two grounds, one goes to the tranny, the other goes to the valve cover, and they both look good.

could the ground for the alternator be run to the same ground as the ground for the radiator fan does? if so i think this may be my problem i had to run a new ground for my fan a while back, and ever since then my alternator has squealed. and if this could be i would appreciate any information concerning which wire is the ground.
