My buddy is buying back his old G2. When he owned it before he bought an engine for it and he still has it. Since he already has a B18B he considering building it into a street monster,cam,crank,valves and springs, everything. Some of our friends are trying to tell him to put a B18C in it. What do you think? Money is not an object, but let's not get silly on some stuff.No F/I.

 

i'd say its better to start with a b18c. but once you start replacing parts like the ckrank, pistons, cams, it becomes less important. but i think the b18c has oil squirters that the b18b wont, and you'll start with a better vtec head.

 

b18c got vtec and b18b dont...b18c will always kick b18b's *** if they are built with same parts becuz of vtec...unless he's gonna do ls/vtec

 

The all motor B18B tops out at about 200 whp... I wouldn't consider that a street monster. If you do LS/VTEC, fully built, you can get an extra, oh, 50 hp or so.

F/I is the way to go with these engines. Want a 1.8 Liter V8 Eater? Need turbo.
