so I replaced my passenger side axle within the last few weeks because I had a split cv boot and I didnt have the right tools to do it so I got a napa axle (prob worst thing to do but for the $ I figured what the hell). So I got to put on my coilovers tonight and see that my axle seal is now leaking a little bit and im not sure why. I did not drain the trans fluid as I thought the filler hole was lower than the axle hole but a tad bit of fluid came out anyway. I am wondering if it is the axle seal that is bad now or if it is just the crappy axle that is causing the problem. Im gonna spray it off tomorrow n see what i find.

 

does anyone know what the part number for the passenger side axle seal is?

 

Is the axle pushed into the tranny all the way it could not be pushed all the way in just a thought

 

I thought that could possibly be the problem but I figured since I cant pull it out any then the clip on the end must be in properly and since it hasnt fallen out at that it was in right. I drove 300+ miles on it then I saw it was leaking so yeah.
