Just because he works for Honda doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about.

I agree, some people at dealerships don't know jack about their own cars.

Only in japan and I believe fewer than 1000 were made, I haven't heard of any being imported from Japan either. They are much rarer than type-r's. From my understanding it was made for the cold/mountanous areas of Japan for a limited time.

Did any of you see the article that Honda Tuning Magazine did on making one? They used a CRV setup. I don't think they are finished with it yet.

i read in another forum that the car was grossly underpowered, failed test marketing, never survived a model year and thus not exported

if they made "1000 in jap." and the U.S is so big on RWD sports cars.. and they made the s2k RWD.. why didnt they keep the teg RWD if its been done be4, by the factory?

wouldnt this sell big?

No, because as much as people want to think the Integra is a sports car, its an entry-level econo-lux coupe. Made for FWD, agility, fuel economy and practicality. Just a "sporty coupe" not a sports car.

S2000's, NSX's, 350z's, Supras, etc...RWD Sports cars. A 140hp Integra isnt something they would want to market as a rwd sports car.

remember the civic wagon? awd. well the integra awd is the same drivetrain in japan. so if you can imagine how the civic awd wagon was not a sucess here it would have been the same thing for integra. thats why we never saw one.
