Default AWD Integra

Honda Tuning magazine is doing a feature where they're converting an itr to awd. Pretty darn interesting and informative if you ask me. They're using a crv tranny which has a transfer case and rear rear output. Creative little bastards. I think the hardest part is going to be getting power from the rear diff to the wheels. I'm just thinking b18c5, awd, turbo.... an itr "gsx" would be a wild ******* ride.

would it be full time awd (ie. all 4 wheels always spinning) or would it be skylinish and a certain axle would engage during slippage?

The integras sold in Japan are not Type Rs.

Also, the crv is not a performance transmission; I guarantee it will not hold up for too long.....The intega drive train just isn't made for awd

So they are using the CR-V diffs? They are like 95%F 5%R, hardly an AWD system.

I laughed when I read your post. My bet is he knows more what he's doing than you. You guys are the most pessimistic ******* I've ever met. Props to someone for trying something original that may or may not work rather than being the 1,367,599th member of h-t to have the pipe dream of someday going f/i.

umm... yea, Blake knows what he's doing. considering i talked to him on the phone the other weekend and it WORKS. he's working on several project cars, starting his own business selling light weight carbon fiber body parts, etc. for hondas, won his class at the pikes peak hill climb, and has competed in the speed world challenge. sound like a rice boy? prolly not

just keep reading honda-tuning, blake will keep you informed on the status of the project.

I'm sure i would have heard if there ever was an awd Integra of any year since almost all of what we get here in NZ is from Japan.
They make AWD 4 door Civics but the rear wheels don't do a lot

if you look on team-integra.net, in articles, in the JDM 93-94 Integra models section, it shows an AWD Integra.
