Hey, my boy has a 90 integra ls shell that he bought from his friend. I got him a 98 obd2 integra ls engine with low miles so he can put in his DA. Come to find out that his shell use to be a automatic. The question is, does he need a auto to manual tranny like the dc/eg or can he just use DA manual mounts for the new ls engine.

btw. He got all obd0 stuff for the engine ( dizzy, alternator, harness, etc...)

I thought he might need a auto to manual tranny mount but honestly I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find it so for a second I thought it probably wasn't needed.

Re: Auto to manual DA
you have to use an auto to tranny mount. im almost 120% positive. just did this swap about 4 months ago. contact hasport for the mount. they have them for around $175

Re: Auto to manual DA
You dont HAVE to the conversion mount, you can shim the stock manual mount, believe its 1-3/8". There's a giant thread on doing this conversion on g2ic.com.

I did it many years ago, but opted for the mount made by innovativemounts.com paid about $120 for it, saved a bunch of headache.

Re: Auto to manual DA
changing the automatic frame rail bracket to a 5spd frame rail bracket will allow use of a 5spd factory or aftermarket mount

Re: Auto to manual DA
True, however not everyone has the ability or skills to drill out the spot welds and weld on a new mount.
