Auto to Manual Conversion. Help please?
Hey, I know it's a lot of work and money to do this. But i wanted to learn how to do the conversion on my 01 integra. I tried looking for the threads about it but, i ran into no luck finding any threads about it. If anyone can help shoot me some info on how to do the conversion, It'll be awesome. Thanks.

I've done this to my Integra sedan so if you need help, I'll be monitoring this thread to answer any questions.
One of the most important part to get is the AT-to-MT transmission mount. You can get a steel one from Innovative or a billet one from Hasport. You need this engine mount because the automatic chassis' transmission post-mount sits higher then a manual chassis. <--- hope that made sense.
The windplate is gonna be a bitch to remove if you don't have the right tools; needs to be removed for the shift linkage to be placed in.
You do have to replace the gas/brake pedals with a manual one because the auto's brake pedal sit dangerous close to the clutch pedal.
You can use the same rear T-bracket for the conversion, not sure why people say you have to change it. I kept my AT one, it basically mounts onto the block and tranny like it would on a AT transmission...
everythig else should be straight forward when reading those threads. That's how I learn to do mines.
Good luck and have fun!

The conversion does take some time but the work is worth it because manual is so much more fun.
when you jump the wires from the center console do you leave the auto trans computer thats in the driver kickpanel or can you remove it..
during the conversion, you're gonna wanna get a 5-speed ECU, so yes you'll remove the automatic ECU...I doubt that helped, restate your question please.

the integras have a transmission ecu in the drivers kickpanel..do youleave it or remove it..the motor ecu is in the passenger kickpanel
wow I honestly don't remember.
but logically thinking, I would remove it since you're gonna be manual now and since the only plugs coming from the manual transmission would be the reverse lights plug and the vehicle speed sensor...correct me if I'm wrong.

so once the car has been tricked to be in park i can just remove it..cool because it was sorta annoying for me of what i was gonna do with the auto stuff if i wasnt auto anymore..so it makes alot more sense...this auto to manual swap is alot clearer to me..thanks for the heads up peeps..
after the conversion, you're left with a lot of junk parts.
when you trick the car into being in park, it actually acts like the clutch is down as it were a manual car. Those two wires are SUPPOSE to be connected to the clutch sensor on its pedal so it can start like a manual car.
Without the wires connecting to the sensor, the car is technically automatic when just twisted together. That's why my car starts without pushing the clutch down.
Just gotta make sure I'm in neutral before starting it up or else it'll stall/move the car.
Hopefully this information helps the OP during his conversion.
