Default ANOTHER MISS SHIFT

hey was racing kinda and went from 3rd to 2nd and I let go very fast. I did not power shift. it still runs but when idling it rumbles a bit so yea I know it means some new valves. Can I have anything else besides some bent valves???

I am going to toss in some new piston rings so cheap set of rings will work or what have you guys done? I mean something beside dealer price something from ebay that you guys have used and it worked.

I'm selling the car still later so yea.

you might just need a valve adjustment rather than new valves.......

he mis shifted, instead of going 3-4 he owned himself and went 3-2, do the compression and leak down test and let us know the results

I bought a used car a few months ago and while it idles, sometimes it'll rumble a little. Does that mean the previous owner could have messed up the valves?

He did the famous "money shift".......Just get all new valves, new piston rings and valve stem seals for 50 from the one guy. Dont cheap out. Oh and to the guy that said it neds to get valves adjusted. The car almost sounds like a subaru. Do it once the right way then waste time later on rebuilding the whole engine because a valve decided to drop/break or what ever they tend to do at 8200 rpms.

Bad idea. If your valve breaks and drops you'll be looking at a lot more work than new valves and stem seals.
