Another I hate thieves thread :(
Well my 1998 ls got stolen from my driveway in vacaville, ca this morning. If anyone sees it please call the cops. Its lowered on h&r race springs, has a cheap exhaust, all black, windows tinted, front windshield strip tinted, tan interior, black 16" Motegi's with polished lips, ebay halo's, red emblems and a comptech type r lip.
Take it from me, don't just read the posts about layering your security, do it and never let your guard down.
I want to stay honda/acura but don't want to worry so much about theft. Does anyone know how much I would have to worry with a 95 Accord? Thanks.

sorry to hear man.
my dc2 was also a victim to theft a week ago. luckily it was just for parts, but I hear you since my EK was stolen two years ago...
pathetic thieves who are so broke and pathetically uneducated that they go around taking other people's heart and soul...now that's pathetic...
but just remember. this world revolves around the concept of cause and effect. the cause they make is always returned with an effect. they will regret every bit of what they did to your car.

Hey guys just thought since I posted earlier I would let everyone know that they recovered my car this morning. The CHP found it in Oakland. I havent seen it yet but from what the tow yard says it sounds like the engine is still there and it might not be too bad.
The front desk person said that it was missing the 98 bumpers, headlights, tail lights, rims, shifter, had the trunk lock picked, and the steering column broken. They couldnt tell me for sure if the a**holes kicked in the body panels or anything so please keep your fingers crossed for me. I am just praying that they didn't purposely f**k up everything else.

Glad to hear they found it, good luck on getting it back in good condition.

Good luck man. When my EK was stolen, they purposely keyed the entire car all around. Pissed me off. Got a new paint job and the car looked clean though
Hope you had full coverage, and I wish you the best of luck!
to the thieves!!! hope they're not on here as well...

Well I picked up my car yesterday. They stole the rims, amps, tweeters, subwoofer, passenger side ac vent, ashtray, bumpers, tail lights, headlights, driver side wiper arm, emblems, intake, battery hold down, resevoir covers, nology spark plug wires, volt meter, oil pressure guage, oil cap, distributor cap, and battery.
They put a golf ball sized dent in my fender, fu*ked up all of my trunk plastics, trunk lock, passenger side door panel, my ignition of course and put a small crack in my windshield.
I don't know what happened or why but they left my shifter, header, fuel rail, sending units for my guages, and they installed a new peice of crap intake. Another funny thing is that my plug wires were gounded to the header bolts before and when they took off my plug wires they re-tightened all of the header bolts.
Well all in all I consider my self pretty lucky. I already have the car back together except for the bumpers and lights. If anyone knows a good place to get 98 bumpers please let me know.
Stuff I learned from this, make sure your alarm siren has a battery back up, make sure your hood has an alarm switch on it, shave and block the hatch key hole, re-locate your hood latch stuff, and quit being lazy and do a fuel cut off switch, and another ingnition switch. For anyone that has never had their acura stolen, let me tell you, its really easy to do. I only know because I can see how they did it.
