Default Alternator

I took my 1990 acura integra to get a a "transmission diagnostic test." The day afterward my seatbelt alarm (the one that beeps when the seat belt isnt plugged in) was going crazy. It would constantly beep no matter what unless I unplugged the whole seatbelt system. A couple days later it rained and when i went to use the delay on my windsheild wipers it woudnt work. Now today my alternator fried. None of this was happening before I took it to get tested. Could the place I took it to have messed with something that caused this to happen? Does any of these even have anything in common? Or was it just coincidence? When I unplugg the seatbelt, I have to unplug a clip that has a whole bunch of wires connected to it. Could this have hurt it? I was told that if alternators go bad something electrical could be wrong so Im just asking.
