alignment on lowered teg
i went to go get an alignment the other day but my friend who was gonna do it for me said that i wouldn't clear the rack. he said that the teeth on the rack would rip my front lip off. i'm lowered approxiamately 1.75 in the front with a comptech itr lip. anyone have any suggestions on what i can do? how high are the lowest lifts?
I'm not sure where you are located, but there is a shop in Chantilly, VA off of Route 50 that has a scissor-style alignment rack that can handle very low cars. If you are in that area I can give you directions.
If not, call around and find one that can handle it, or to be safe, just take off your bumper to get it onto the rack.
I was able to get my integra onto quite a few alignment racks with Neuspeed Race springs and stock wheels, so it was pretty low.

I'm lowered 3" or so and can get my car on the Hunter rack where my friend works just fine, except the sideskirts scrape a little when I'm getting on and off, but no big deal.
However I don't know since I installed the 2000 front w/ ITR lip.
The only thing I have to do is remove my lower splash guard so that the lasers have a clear path across the car in front.

I have had the same problem for the last two months. Unfortunatly I live in a small town, we only have about 4 shops. I would have to drive about 250 miles to get it done. So I have now killed my tires and its gonna cost alot more. So get it done as soon as you can
"I had the same problem. But we justed ended up driving it up on some 2x4's to reduce the angle of attack. No sweat... I have a 1.7 and 1.4 drop so quite similar..."
exactly what the alignment shop i took mine too did...but my drop was lower, still scraped some but the wood helps some

I don't even know why shops offer a 2-wheel alignment. To do a proper alignment you have to align the rear first, and then the front is aligned off the rear. If you looked at the sensor readouts during an alignment, you would see that the front readings actually change when the rear settings are adjusted. So on a lowered car especially where you want the settings to be as exact as possible, definitely do a 4-wheel alignment.

Exactly, it doesn't take more than about ten minutes to remove it anyway.

most dropped cars have trouble getting alignment, or clearing any lifts. get pieces of wood and set it up at the base of the alignment rack and go up slowly. itll clear it without a problem. if you have someone who knows what theyre doing. getting it down do the same thing, or you can also go down very slow, while 2 people are simultaneously lifting the car up at the front fender walls.
