Ok for the past couple weeks my alternator in my car has just stopped charging intermittenly. Sometimes it will charge and everything will work properly and sometimes the whole car will go dead. I put in a new battery and have checked and wiggled the wires around and still have gotten no where. When the alternator quits charging the battery light will flicker on and off at low rpm then turn off at higher RPM.
Im thinkin it could be the voltage regulator because sometimes it will come on and off then sometimes not at all and other times i can drive all day without an issue. And today it was doing it and i was so pissed that i went to the redline for a second and after that it was charging partially.
what could it be
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME OUT
im going crazy with this thing

check the fuses it could be a 100A fuse (thats one of the big fuses) that somehow regulates the alternator. somethign very simular happened to me and i ended up spending 600 fo rhte tow and dyno to find the prob, just find those fuses and check for yourself. trying to help ya bro
i have a question? does the car start? can you jump the battery and the car will start? what does the rpms do when the car is started?

it charges soemtimes, thats why I did not want to just ruch into changing it, would a bad voltage regulator cause it to sometimes charge and not charge
check all of your grounds and even use a dyelectric grease on all of your connections, this happens to cavilers alot. Also pull off your wiring harness to the alternator and open the casing to see if there are any corroded wires.
hope this helps!
