Default AEM Intake!!

Tonight i installed a new AEM CAI and that thing is the ****! I had no idea that it would make such a difference. The exhaust sounds awesome. The car is much faster. I went into Madison, WI tonight with a friend and we ended up racing some kind of lexus, it was fast, but anyway the thing was keeping up with me and then i just started pulling away from him. It was sooo cool. The tires tear away from the ground in first and second now. Is there any way i can stop this from happening? But anyway if you dont have one of these you definately need to get one.

enjoy your new Toy. I personally think the AEM CAI is the best mod for the money. Did you get the Bypass Valve? I didn't install it on mine cuz it supposedly loses power...

Ah well... now you need some Header next! Better Save up...

good choice i think it was the best mod i bought so far.

GS-Racer - I have the bypass valve and it did not make any that i can tell, if i lost 1HP because of it i dont care, its worth having it on there to protect my engine and give me piece of mind

No offence man.....but where the hell have you been!? hehehe.

Glad you like it. That noise you hear is not the exhaust sound....thats the intake sound...its the valves opening and closing.

It is by no means psychological. There is a definate performance gain.

A stock 98 GSR gets 7 to 13 WHP from just an AEM.Its the best bang for the buck you can start your mods with.

if i were you i'd put a bypass valve on. if you are really concerned about losing power..(you only lose like 2whp) then put in a ram air intake with a cold air box or a hood vent. all the cai does is lower the air temp like 20-30 degrees. a ram with a cold air box or something to cool the engine directly will be fine. my point being i dont think 2whp is worth waterlogging your engine.
