Default AEM Filter

Does anybody know of a way to replace the AEM CAI filter without removing the bumper? That bumper is a pain when when you don't have the right tools.

yea, i did mine last weekend, just raise ur car, then undo the fender well plastic trim stuff, its held on by a couple screws, and its as easy as that.... you may have to bend the hose end of the filter, but its rubber so no big deal.

what tools? it doesn't require anything special to remove the bumper...
do it a couple more times and you'll have it down to a science

the bumper is
2 10 mils to hold the bumper at the bottom to the frame
2 10 mils on each side of the car by the fenders under the hood
like 8 phillips screws for that track accros the top where the hood latch is
2 phillips screws that holds the liner to the front end ( the flaps)
take out htwe turn signals
and 1 phillips in each fender well under neath the fender line , pop out the one pop screw in each fender line to get that 1 screw inside the line and from there pop the front end off the car, its kinda like snappped inplace, so will need a littl tug on it .

damn can you tell ive done thattoo many times. sounds like alot, but i can do it in like 2 minutes, i got it down to a science.

YEa, I didn't even take off my bumper when I installed mine. Just turn the wheel all the way to the left OR right to get the tire outta the way and pop of those screws on the fenderwall. Easy ****

Are you actually referring to the fender lining in the wheel well or just the plastic lining underneath the car?

directly underneath the filter, is only the plastic of the fender liner extended forward, so you jus unscrew that.
