Default AEM CAI

My friends has an aem cai on his 98 ls and at certain rpms it makes a whistling sound. is this normal and did this happen to any of you guys?

Its not the growl that the intake makes, but like when he shifts it make a whistle. on my short ram intake it doesnt do that. so that whistle is normal?

its a good sound.. i know i love it when vtec kicks in .. But all i hear now is WOOP WOOP WOOP WOOP: the sound of my broken cv joint.. lol!

i dont think hes referring to the sucking in of air sound....ive heard that before as well(not on my car) but a friends. check all the hoses and connections.

the whistling sound is normal, you especially hear it when rpms build up and you shift. I think it sounds good, eventually you dont notice it anymore, i have a 98 LS as well so theres proof its alright, i dont think it has anything to do with hoses being loose.
