Default Advice

I am looking for some advice on some future mods I should get...but don't say turbocharge because I do not want to.

'96 LS
Comptech Ice Box
Thermal Exhaust
DC 4-2-1 Header
STR Cam Gears (dyno tuned)
APEXi S-AFC (dyno tuned)
Lowered on Ground Controls and Tokico Blue shocks

Would cams be worth getting? If I am going to go forced induction, I want to supercharge just because I am only looking for a little more kick. Which would give me more power, going all motor, or supercharging. If you have any other ideas, I would like to hear them. Thanks

have you ever thought about a vtec head thats probably out of the question but its worth a try anyway i wouldnt go all motor on an ls but i would think about a nitrous

kit and then you might wanna get some cams and other things to help, if you are
going to super charge stay away from vortech i have seen bad results i would say

any roots type supercharger like a JRSC will do nicely hope that helped but in the end just do what you want

man i am sorry to hear no supercharger.
the ls has a beautiful engine to boost since the compression is lower. I would just to the basic bolt on's you have, then cams, throttle body, intake manifold, fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, and fuel pump, then bigger injectors. then since you will be power hungry after all that a turbo or nos.

are you kiding you gotta go!! that is good **** if i was you i would build the bottem end get a turbo and all tha rest but if you are on a buget than cams, adj.cam gears, and advance the timming.. but you have an ls (non vtec) wich has no nock sinser.....i would srongly go with a gs-r head if done properly than they can kick major a** with building the bottem end Nos wouldn't be a bad idea!

this is when the engine is sent to a machine shop and re-worked to the exact specs of the blue print. this not only ads hp but makes the engine more reliable and revs more freely this is a a very good idea most people have not done this but it is very afective,, with a balanced crank and pistons, rods ect. the engine you have will be far from the rest!

EXACTLLEY what i was thinkin since you have the basics. Don't forget cam gears a must
*also up grade valvetrain if you wanna rev over 8000rpm
*a SAFC would be very nice when tunning or ditch that idean a get hondata + 1hour of dynojet tunning and you'll have a perfectly streetable daily driven motor
