Default advance timing????

if i advance the timing on my gsr will i run better track times???? Also how do i advance the timing????

i would also like to know...what would be a good setting for an i/h/e setup. i.e how many degrees?

i read a guy that advanced it 18 degrees then 22 and he loss power at 22 so i think 18 is good. but i want to know the difference i will get and how to do it

Oh yea, and the guy that advanced to 22 is ******* stupid -- i hope to god he was running racing fuel so he wasnt detonating, but at 22, im sure he was.

one typically advances two degrees, 18.

when u advance the timing does the car idle higher or what. when i advance mine to 18 degrees the car is now idling at about 850 rpm. even if i adjust the idle it still idles at 850.

I set mine at 19 when I first did it,the car felt OK but it seemed somthing wasn't right.We set it back 17 and I haven't changed it since car runs great.
