Default 98 type R ECU

i just picked up a 98 type R ecu and installed it in my 96 gsr, wow what a differance, Vtec hits alot harder, anyone with a gsr should pick one up, got mine for 200, anyone sellin a ITR intake mani or skunk 2 intake mani,, instant message me at eyehateyou89, thats AIM,, thanx

If you can feel it hit vtec then your crossover is probably not at it's best point. You want a relatively smooth crossover. Just look at all the dynos of tuned cars.

Also since your using your stock intake mani, your secondaries are not opening with that ecu.

That swap is totally not justified. That ECU is designed for the parts on the ITR, I think that you would have been better off with a standalone unit, like a Hondata for a few hundred more. You would reap some great benefits from a setup like that.

As for the secondaries, you can try to manually tie the actuator open, or you can go through the trouble of removing the manifold, dissassembling it, removing the butterflies and then going back through the process. OR you could just get an ITR IM or a SKUNK 2 IM, both of which have no secondaries, and will also benefit you more.
