Default 98+ Conversion

First off, sorry I know I know, I searched the archives of all posts, but I'm just putting this up because I just wanna make sure that I am gettin the right parts I need. From other posts, people just say you need the front bumper and headlights for the conversion. I was under this same assumption. However, the guy I'm gonna buy the conversion off of said I needed radiator support, fenders, hood. He said that the radiator support is needed because the headlights won't fit flush with everything else and the bumper will sag. He also told me i needed fenders because the 94-97's won't fit flush with the bumper either. Now, this is all new information to me and very contradictory of what fellow educated HT members have said about the necessary parts for the conversion. Well I will pry just pick up the parts anyways since he only wants 300 for it all. Just wondering tho if i can get by with just the bumper and lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

that's what i thought to but i will probably just pick it all up for 300 since it's a good deal anyway. Should I just re-sell the fenders, hood, rad. support then if in the end i don't need it.

good deal, but at that price I think i would be getting scammed. Anyway, just did the 98+ on my car and the fender linears are actually different as well.

Yeah, but it's clean and legit so I'm gonna pick it up this weekend. BTW, how much do you think I could get if I sold the hood, fenders, and rad. support? Is there a very high demand for this stuff or should i just keep it just in case the worst happens.

First, i'll say that i confirm what the other guys have been saying in regards to what u need for the 98+ conv. Only when you are doin a jdm would u need all that kinda crap.

Second, It will be a pain in the *** to try to sell the hood unless you're will to ***** it out n ship it too.... still got 2 hoods on me. hahah. The same goes for the radiator support, which is usually only sought out for in front end collision cases.... As for the fenders... enough people look for those for accident n ding replacements so shouldnt be too hard to sell and i've seen them go for as low as 150 a pair to as high as 300... but who knows what u'll get for em.

Hope that helps.

Damn you suck, I payed $650 for my bumper, headlights, and fenders, BUT!!! I got the ITR lip also! I didn't get a hood, cuz I already had another hood in my color.

I paid 450 cdn for:Bumper cover, headlights, corners and ITR lip from a good friend of mine.

I think that works out to around 500+ USD?

sorry to hijack your thread, but i was informed that all you need for the conversion is the front bumper, headlights and turn lenses...im about to do the conversion (because some ******* hit me), and ive already ordered the turn lenses...my question is, do you have to get the 98 fenders as well? thats what im starting to hear on this thread.... i talked to a guy at the acura dealership and he said all u needed was what i said above, not the fenders....please help me im so confused

I got my 98+ convresion on my old gsr, for $200 headlights, bumper from a good friend on the board .

The one on my current car was free! It came with the car

If the guy only wants $300 for all then see how much he will take off for that extra stuff, hood, readiator support. If its not much just buy the whole thing,as you never know when you'll need those extra parts, plus you can sell those fenders fairly easy andmake back your $ you spent on the conversion.

Is this is a local deal? If not shipping is going to be a ****. If it's not a local deal I would be weary of someone selling a 98_ convresion + hood, fenders ect... for that cheap. Be smart

different? are you talking about the metal bracket that joins the fender/bumper? cause i reused my old one and it fit just fine. btw, if you use a new bumper, you'll also need bumper/corner lens brackets. a used one will most likely have them already.

yeah, the guy who's selling it lives like 20 min away from me so I will know right away if I'm getting scammed. Yeah the brackets for the turn signals is another thing I know i need and should come with the bumper. I'm just assuming it does because it came right off the guy's car. But yeah, thanks for all the help you guys have given me. I will probably sell the fenders, rad. support, hood. How much should I ask respectively for each. Can't be too much demand for these things are there?? Haha, yeah I'm guessing a lot of integra's do get wrecked everyday. law of averages says so. LOL.
