97 Integra Main Relay Problem..
New to this forum I just recently picked up a 97 integra with a JDM b18 swap in it. Long story short I got it running had in running for about 3 days getting all the bug worked out and went to start it today and it fryed most of the wires from the main relay. Im lost. Any ideas of what could have caused this?? It still has the obd2a computer with spliced wires to trick the the crank sensor im sure you all know about that. But I have no idea where to start now. The relay isnt fryed at all just the wires. Fuel pump wont turn on or no spark. Any advice would help.
Whan you say "all the wires" do you men all 8 or so leads are burnt, or are some just damaged vecause they were near the ones that did burn?
Burning wires means one of two things, a short, or the wire is overloaded, most likely a short.
The PGM-FI Main Relay has 3 power leads going to it, all of them fused, there is a 12V+ constant, [hot at all times] a 12V+ switched, [hot in run and start] and a 12V+ start, [hot during cranking to start only].
The loads on the PGM-FI Main Relay are the fuel pump, [fuel pump relay] and the fuel injectors along with a few engine valve/solenoids and one input to the ECU/ECM all are from the fuel injector relay.
If anything shorted out, [like the fuel pump] as soon as the key was turned on the relay would close connecting power to that short and a fuse should blow, unless a bigger then rated fuse was installed, [a 30A installed where a 10A sholud be] if so tjhe resuld would be burnt wires, but I can't se how it would be more then two wires, [ the input and the output]. 94

from what it looks like 2 wires are bare copper and probably the heat melted all the rest together I got all of them apart but I still have no power. There is most likely a bigger fuse where it should be. I guess my only real option is to take the dash out and rewire some but I dont know how to prevent it agian

What color are the 2 burnt wires, peel back the electrical tape fare enough to see unburnt wiring to get the colors, if they are burnt back into the harness you may need to replace the dash harness. 94
If anyone is close I found a part of my harness that was chewed by a mouse I replaced it but I still have no spark ecu or fuel pump i live in Williamsport i really need help
