96 GSR cel p1362 code. Help!
Hello, I have a 96 GSR and it is throwing a code (P1362) for camshaft position sensor A (Top dead center sensor) no signal, but only when trying to start it after it has been sitting for a long period of time, probably 8+ hours. I will turn the key over to start it and nothing will happen. Sometimes it starts after a few seconds and not throw a code, and sometimes it won't start at all and throw a code (P1362) after about 10 seconds of having the key turned over in the start position.
Other symptoms my car has that I haven't been able to diagnose are stuttering/power cut while maintaining a constant speed (any speed at any rpm), noticeable dip in power between 4-5k and very noticeable dip in power when vtec engages, and severe bogging when kicking the throttle between 4-5k. Keep in mind, none of these symptoms throw a cel.
I have had people tell me that it may be the sensor itself, and I have also had people tell me that it may be out of time, but i just need an input from anybody else that may have experienced these identical issues before so that I don't waste time and money an things I don't need. Thanks in advance!

I have a 00 civic and i dont have a tdc sensor anywhere else besides in the distributor.. only thing i can think of closely related to the tdc sensor is the crankshaft positioning sensor behind the crank pulley.. aybe thats what you mean?
check your mech timing sound like your timing may have skipped a tooth! but poor engine performace is one of the symptoms of a bad TDC sensor.
