Default 94 ls shell

im about to pick up a 94 ls shell. it has the mounts, ecu, axles. linkage etc. everything but the motor and tranny. well ive been looking on h motors and found a B16A 92-95 (SiR-II) Motor, Tranny, ECU http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000...age&item=30004 my question is could i use the wiring harness it comes with? or would i have to use the wiring on the ls? and if i got the b18c1 motor tranny and ecu instead and used the gsr harness, would i still need to wire vtec up to the ecu? ive never really messed with the wiring side of the hondas. i dont wanna screw something up or forget to buy something

Default Re: 94 ls shell

the ls shell will have an ls wiring harness, if you want to wire vtec (its only a few connectors) u need a VTEC ecu of the same OBD (im assuming its obdI), and get an OBDI vtec subharness,

it comes with everything you need (wires/connectors/instructions) and is the easiest way to do it. So u can wire up knock/vtec solenoid/pressure/IAB (u dont need IAB for pr3/b16 head, only for b18c1 head)

good luck, u can find vtec subharnesses for 30-60$. kywire or something has one
