91 integra Question!

I may be purchasing a 91' Integra that has a 94' GSR motor in it.
I was wondering, I thought that the 90-93 Integra's were cable transmission, and that the 94+ GSR motors were hydro. is this correct?
Also, if it is Hydro, would it be beneficial to use a LSD B16 hydro tranny I allready have since the GSR motor is turbo'd?
Thanks!

Yes, all G2 Integras were cable.
The 94 GSR motor isn't cable, the clutch in the 94-01 tegs were. What I'm saying is the motor doesn't care if you have a cable or hydro clutch. It depends on the car it's going into.
A hydro transmission into a G2 teg will require some sort of fabrication or kit, the swap isn't really common so I can't help you there.
Any cable B tranny will bolt up though, to the engine and car.

the only gsr's that had a cable tranny were the 92-93 gsr's and those were only 1.7L. it would take a lot of work to put a hydro b16 tranny in a 2nd gen chassis. but if you have a turbo'd gsr i'd recommend finding a 92-93 gsr tranny (which is rare to find) but it will benefit you better. the b16 has too short of gears for a turbo setup on a gsr.

It is not as hard as you might think. Check out http://www.hasport.com for their conversion kit. Simple as that.
