90-93 question
Nope. (USDMs) 90-93 tegs came with B18A1s (RS/LS/LS-S/GS) and B17A1s (GSR).
B18B1 is the 94+ non VTEC engine.
Head over to http://www.g2ic.com for 2nd gen teg questions too.

but there is a diff between the 90-91 and 92-93 B18A1's right? in parts magizines ill looking for parts and sometimes they will be listed as 90-91 and then 92-93 and then sometimes just 90-93, is it the OBD thing?
Yes you are right. There are differences. I didn't go into all that because I wasn't sure if anyone needed to know it.
90-91 B18A1 - OBD0 - 130hp
92-93 B18A1 - OBD1 - 140hp
(92-93) B17A1 - OBD1 - 160hp
Things like injectors, distributor, and certain electrical components aren't interchangeable due to the OBD differences. Also, the wiring harnesses are different (commonly called cream plugs for OBD0 and grey plugs for OBD1). ECUs are different too of course.
Transmissions options are different too, and aren't interchangeable. Yes, they will bolt up, but...90-91s come with Y1, S1, A1 (I do believe) and 92-93s come with YS1s (and there is the long geared RS/LS/GS YS1 and the short gear (rarer) GSR YS1). The reason they (90-91 vs 92-93) aren't interchangeable is because the input shaft splines are different (though with the proper clutch assembly, then they can be interchanged).
Need to know anything else?

haha, yea be careful with the Trannys. I took my stock YS1 out for a built Y1 tranny. Blew that up at the Track, so i had to buy a YS1 again but that shafts were different, so it took me two times of my axle popping out to realize that.
so a 91 ls trans will or wont work with a 93 block? im replacing the longblock from a 91 b18a1 with a 93 b18, using the same trans, 91 clutch assembly. had to changed some wires, but nothing to big.....

It will 100% bolt up just fine. However; when dealing with the clutch you must buy the clutch that matches the year of the trans. Something about the input shaft is different on the 90-91, but works fine just the same. So just stay with your 91 clutch assembly.

Not to be a smart *** but check my original post above...I explained it pretty well I think
I'de recommend going to http://www.g2ic.com and check the B-Series Engine Swap Guide in the Teg Tips section. You can check in detail about swapping an OBD1 B18A1 into your OBD0 teg.
In regards to the tranny exactly, like I said, you'll have to use the proper clutch assembly. Yes, they will bolt up, like I said in my old post, but again...back to them damn clutch assemblies
Use you're old 90-91 and you should be fine.

Well actually we are changing the harness to be OBD1 and I think we are going to use a B18B1 if they will let us in Honda Challenge. Then i could use a 4.9 final drive.
