A 94 has nearly the same engine and tranny as your 90. So Krow is right. That seems high. I'm curious what would cause that? Aside from someone swapping in a 5th from a vtec tranny I'm not sure.
BTW, at 80 in my 93 LS I think my RPM's are under 4k.

At 90 mph I'm just over 4000 rpms in my 90 LS I think. That does seem pretty high. I was going to ask if you had lo-pro tires or something, but then your indicated speed would still jive with your tach regardless of how fast you were actually going. I dunno man. Maybe someone swapped in a tall final drive before you bought it. About how fast are you going at redline in each gear?

YS1 was in the '92-'93. '90-'91 have an S1 with a smaller clutch size.
The RPM you're describing sounds basically identical to my '92 GSR which has a shorter-geared version of the YS1. It's possible that you have an S1 out of a '90-'91 RSi or XSi which has similar gearing to the '92-'93 GSR/RSi/XSi YS1.
[edit] It's also possible that you randomly got a 4.400 final drive installed at the factory. Honda sometimes likes to do that for some reason. For example, people have taken various '99-'00 Si trannies apart and counted the teeth on the final drive to find that some have a 4.266 and others have a 4.400.

I know the newer LS trannies have the 4.2xx FD but doesn't the 90 have a 4.400 FD stock anyway. I could be wrong on this, but that was my understanding.

Nah, no non-VTEC Integras came with a 4.4 final drive as part of their spec sheet. I'm just saying that it's possible a 4.4 found its way into this particular transmission due to a parts shortage or just a random factory error.
