2000 Integra Gsr intake
I have a 2000 integra Gsr with a b16 intake (previous owner) was wondering if I should put the skunk2 or stock intake on it. When I do do it I will upgrade the valve springs, valves, camshafts (stage 2), fuel pump, and fuel rail to skunk2 alpha. I was wondering with all that in mind should I upgrade to a stock gsr intake or a skunk2 intake.
A B16 intake manifold doesn't fit on a 2nd Generation GSR engine... it would have to be seriously modified to just bolt it on and the runners would not line up properly to the intake ports on the cylinder head. If you are going to upgrade the camshafts and valvetrain, I would use the Skunk2 Pro series intake manifold.
So they did some stupid crap with it. The purge valve is plugged in but the hoses are disconnected and the purge valve solenoid is tied into the pcv valve with a 3 way hose connection then the other port for the solenoid is ran to the charcoal canaster. but I appreciate the response
You should get an intake designed for the GS-R. Skunk2 now makes GS-R IMs that fit correctly and the stock (obviously) also works. Not sure which makes more power. You'd need an ECU with IAB control to make the most of the stock manifold. I have a spare stock GS-R IM I'll be posting on Marketplace soon. PM me if you're interested.
