Default 1990 DA need tips

new to this forum.
i just bought a 1990 LS automatic full frame with motor for 20 dollar from my close friends that has no need for it. Problem with it is it automatic and the gasket for the oil pan leeking a little and has no exshuast system. Should i part out the whole car to make some money for the motor and body parts? if i need stock parts what site that sell it.

Its up to you if you want to part it out or fix it up. Thats a decision that you only can make.

Based on what you said, it doesn't sound like you need to do alot to it to get it fixed. For stock parts you can contact Len (sponsor that works in the parts department in an Acura dealership). And for other things like an exhaust check the classifieds, you could pick up a used one.

Also if you don't want to keep it, you could look into fixing it then selling it.

i myself would part it out, use the money for another da thats manual. you would spend too much time and effort into converting it. plus, get some vtec under the hood

Here my plan again. I was thinkin about selling my friend the automatic ls motor for 300 and buying another ls motor that manuel. Is the mount different between the manuel and automatic? i can get a ls motor for 300 from my cousin and what else you need?

You mean your going to sell the ls automatics transmission and pick up the ls manual transmision. Yes i do believe there is a difference between the tranny mounts. You could either get a manual tranny one and weld it on, or i believe hasport makes a mount that you could use. Also, there is more needed to do the swap, not just the tranny.

hassport does not make the mount for the DA yet i found out the hard way when doing my auto to 5speed swap had to order the mount from a place called Innovative mounts its solid polyurathane for 125 bucks it was worth it instead of cutting and welding a manual one.
