11.1 compression
i am running 11.1 compression with the bill gude racing packageon my integra ls .will i have any problems with pinging or anything else. i live in the northeast and i use 93 and 94 octain but since we have cold winters they put preservatives in the gas in the winter. will this effect my motor. most people say no but i just want to get a deffanet answer.
I don't think so. 11.1 is a pretty conservative compression ratio. I'm pretty sure that the new M3's are running a 11.5:1 compression ration, and those motors are suppose to be oem reliable. Freind of mine, is building an all motor lsVtec, with CTR pistons, milled head, and pnp head, should be in the neighborhood of 12.4:1 and he's going to run pump gas. To go even further, I've heard of members on this board going as high as 13:1 and still running on pump gas. In my opionion, anything over 12.5:1 is gettting risky of pinging and needs to be tuned to run on pump gas.
For the perservatives, I've got no experience with that being in california and all. But heck, winter is basically over.

yeah i agree thanksfor the help i don't think 11.1 is that much of a difference. factory gsr run 10.5.1 11.1.1 is only a half point higherthatsnot much. thanksany other info will be appreciated
umm, if u have this on ur integra what good is it goin to do to ask a question. its already too late unless u plan on pullin the head off for another one. gude is known for milling the **** outta heads to bump compression.
From what i've PERSONALLY seen, 12.5 : 1 is the highest you can run on pump gas. But the guy ran 2 OEM head gaskets to drop it a bit. He also had some extensive tuning.
11.6 : 1 is supposedly the limit for 93/94 octane.
But you never know..... tuning does wonders!

Yea, whats up with 2 people getting that wrong. Anyway the Type R runs a 10.6:1. The new and all mighty RSX-S runs 11.0:0, so I dont think you should have any problems.
