Thanks

Thanks Gilbert. See you at the track on Sat?
motor is a 2360cc engine, so technically its a 2.3L but Honda would call it a 2.4L
The trans is a bunch of mix-match oem combo that I came up with and a FD that is closer than the JDM ITR. I'll leave it at that.

Nothing is proven yet so I don't wanna go into detail. We will see after the race.

I wanted to line up with Jeff just for the sake of it but it never happened. It sucks but unfortunately he popped his motor, his oil pump failed. =\
Gimme a few Min and I will post results.

I will be posting vids but I have no idea when they will be done. This time I have no control over editing and posting. I think the Darksiders had like 6-8 HD video camera's and SLR's out there so I know there is going to be some awesome footage.
Results:
first round qualifiers I ran an Awesome 13.334@79mph.
-My friggin throttle cable came off in 3rd gear so I coasted across the finishing line.
2nd round: 12.009@115mph
-Ok, now we got one full pass just going through the gears.
3rd pass: This was first round eliminations. I believe it was a 11.7@?? I gotta find the time slip. I wont and advanced to 2nd round.
4th pass: Semi Finals. I ran a 11.55@120mph against the man Dave from DNR Performance. I got lucky cause he had issues so I advanced to the next round again.
5th Pass: Finals. I already knew I wasn't going to win but I said Eff it, go for the gold or die trying right? hahah. 11.669@117mph.
The last pass was in the lane with hella oil and I also shifted early out of 3rd gear so I bogged into 4th. Kinda lame but it is what it is.
End results: I got 2nd place A/M Street Power at the July 24th CMI in Sacramento. This is my very first win and it is awesome that I was able to get there on my first event since the car has been down. I need to work on a lot of things when it comes to driving but at least I figured out what they were at this event.
See you guys at the MFactory Shootout in August.

It does feel great to be back out there. It's been too long. I got a couple small things to get to help with my driving (ie. shift light) and its on to the next event...
That's what I'm thinking as well... Seat time helps like crazy...

Here is some footage from the event. All Videos and pics are courtesy of John A. from Darkside of the Moon Photography and Joseph Phillips (JMPgraphy). Thanks a lot folks

candid shot, haha: These next two are going to be my fav pics for a minute.

One of the photographer's, John A, shot by Joe P. haha

DNR:

1st pass, I got smoked by the homie Kel. I'll get you next time buddy...

Kel aka Kelly Built

Kel's car and el Presidente Chris Dumlao...

Some of the crew:

Darkside Racing! (not even the whole crew) Thanks to these folks for the motivation and support cause honestly, it was a group effort.

The event was awesome. I didn't go as fast as I wanted but I know there is a possibility to do so cause my quickest pass (11.55@120mph) is with granny shifting and shifting too early as well. All in all, it was a much needed learning experience that will only help in the future...
